Welcome back to Semester Two with DCU Drama! We’re here to deliver some excellent news, last week our Production Teams got down to talking, and gathered up some of our best and brightest for three of our upcoming shows. The show will be taking place alongside the Fosse/Verdon preview in The Venue! It’s going to be a SMASHING success and we’re so proud of the entire cast and crew already.

Personal highlights of this cast include Niamh Corry being cast, and also the rumours Niamh Corry floating through the audience as a ghost throughout the show. As well as seeing some wonderful final years getting leading roles!

Personal (incredibly biased) highlights from this list is the return of the dynamic duo Mc Crohan and Rooney to Galway, as well as this absolutely STELLAR chorus. Big contender here for the MTinters “Most Attractive Cast” award that I absolutely haven’t just made up.

Mrs. Robinson you’re trying to seduce me

Our only contemporary play of Semester Two, and it’s going to be a ball. A grad ball to be exact. We have a cast full of new and old faces, as well as everything in-between. The show has a special place in a lot of our hearts, and excitement is building more and more every day!

Also a HUGE big hup for an all-female production team! They’re absolutely killing it.

THE INCREDIBLE RETURN OF KATE BRADY TO THE CONTEMPORARY PLAY. WE LOVE YOU KATE BRADY STARRING IN THE CONTEMPOARY PLAY. As well as Adam Healy (!!!) returning to DCU Drama for his first big role since storming the stage in our 2018 Panto.. please don’t bring any signposts this time Adam.

OVERALLLLLL……

Congratulations to everyone in a cast, and to EVERYONE who auditioned, it takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there. We’re so excited to bring you four productions in one semester, drama members are now the busiest bee’s in The Hive.

Get it? Cause we rehearse sometimes.. in the hive.. ha ha..

Love from your regular little webmaster,

Nmm x
